Das legt einen Blick zur\u00fcck nahe, zum Beispiel auf die sogenannten \u201ePoet Critics\u201c, eine Gruppe junger englischer Dichter um&nbsp;<strong>W.H. Auden<\/strong>, zu der u.a.&nbsp;<strong>Stephen Spender<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Louis Mac Neice<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Cecil Day Lewis<\/strong>&nbsp;und&nbsp;<strong>Charles Madge<\/strong>&nbsp;geh\u00f6rten. Sie begeisterten sich in den 30er Jahren f\u00fcr den Kommunismus und stellten ihr Schreiben in seinen Dienst.<br>\nDie Lyrikerin&nbsp;<strong>Ann Cotten<\/strong>&nbsp;hat sich damit besch\u00e4ftigt und stellt eine Auswahl von Texten aus diesem Kreis vor, die sie \u00fcbersetzt und kommentiert. F\u00fcr die Gruppe um Auden war Dandytum und Volksdichtertum kein Widerspruch. Dass das nicht ohne Konflikte geschah, l\u00e4sst sich leicht ausmalen. Anhand der von ihr gesammelten Texte wird Ann Cotten solche Konfliktlinien zu konturieren versuchen, aber auch die Sch\u00f6nheit und das \u00e4sthetische Niveau dieser Texte in Erinnerung rufen.<br>\nWas waren die Gr\u00fcnde f\u00fcr den Entschluss, sich als Dichter der kommunistischen Sache zu verschreiben? Welche Erfahrungen f\u00fchrten zu Desillusionierung und Abkehr? Und wo finden sich Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zu den jungen deutschsprachigen LyrikerInnen der Gegenwart?<br>\nDar\u00fcber will Ann Cotten im Anschluss an den Vortrag mit dem Publikum diskutieren.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Ann Cotten<\/strong>, die sich zu den mit dem Kommunismus sympathisierenden \u00c4stheten rechnet, wurde 1982 in Iowa geboren und wuchs in Wien auf. Seit 2006 lebt sie als Schriftstellerin und \u00dcbersetzerin in Berlin.
